Controls Design Engineer

Are you a detail-oriented and technically proficient Controls Design Engineer looking to contribute to innovative projects?

We are seeking a skilled Controls Design Engineer to join our team. This position offers a competitive base salary of $70-$130K, commensurate with experience and education.

About the Role:

• Electrical Design & Schematics: You will read and interpret contract plans and specifications to create project electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Control System Development: You will develop control narratives for the proper operation of control systems.
• Manufacturing Support: You will provide design-related support to the control panel shop during the manufacturing process.
• Customer Support: You will offer exceptional service and support to customers during construction and post-commissioning activities.
• Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: You will diagnose errors in specifications or technical problems and determine appropriate solutions.
• Technical Documentation: You will produce accurate and timely electrical CAD drawings and generate Bills of Materials (BOM).

Who You Are:

• Experienced Engineer: You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a project engineer role or similar, including design, implementation, and project closeout.
• Educated Professional: You hold a 2-year electrical engineering degree or have equivalent experience.
• Technical Proficiency: You are proficient in electrical CAD software and familiar with wire sizing, conduit routing, panel boards, and instrumentation.
• Communication Skills: You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-Oriented & Adaptable: You have strong multitasking abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a willingness to quickly learn about new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience with panel design.

Required Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret contract plans and specifications.
• Ability to develop control narratives for control systems.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software.
• Familiarity with wire sizing, conduit routing, panel boards, and instrumentation.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive Base Salary: $70-$130K, relevant to experience and education.
