LHH is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client in the defense sector for a Software Developer - Systems Software (CI/CD) to support a Department of Defense (DoD) program located at Naval Base Point Mugu near Camarillo, CA .
This is a unique opportunity for a software professional with 3+ years of experience in CI/CD pipeline development to contribute to national security initiatives while working in a SAFe/Agile environment. The role offers technical challenges, mentorship opportunities, and long-term career growth. Position Summary
As a Software Developer - Systems Software, you will: Analyze user needs and develop or modify software applications and utility programs.
Optimize operational efficiency through robust software solutions.
Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automation, and base image management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a SAFe/Agile environment.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD Pipeline Development & Support Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Agile, Kanban, and Scrum methodologies.
Automate builds, control gates, and reporting mechanisms.
Support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment processes.
Tooling & Automation Design, develop, and maintain development tools and environments.
Automate test scripts, cybersecurity scans, and pipeline control gates.
Base Image Management Maintain secure and up-to-date base images for development teams.
Ensure compliance with security patching and monthly updates.
Collaboration & Documentation Provide feedback and support to development teams.
Create and maintain technical documentation for tools, pipelines, and processes.
Qualifications 3-10 years of relevant software development experience.
Proficiency in Visual Studio, C++, C#, Python, and Microsoft ActiveX.
Experience with both Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related technical field.
Substitution: 6 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree; 4 additional years with an associate degree.
Additional Requirements Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance (T5 investigation required).
Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required at the time of application.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 annually Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, location, and contractual requirements.
