Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Engineering intern to join the Defense Systems Intern Program. This position will be located in Rome, NY.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s CWI Division, within the Defense Systems Sector.
Roles and Responsibilities
-Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
-Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Basic Qualifications
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must :
· Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
· Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
· Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
· Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred Qualifications
3.7 cumulative GPA or higher
At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
The pay ranges for this specific opportunity are as follows:
Undergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program): $18.75 - $34.50
Masters degrees : $27.00 - $42.50
