This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. We are looking for a motivated and self-directed Software Engineer to drive software innovation in our additive manufacturing (AM) processes. You will lead factory digitization and automation initiatives, developing cutting-edge software platforms for real-time analysis and decision-making. Demonstrating the latest cloud technologies, data approaches, and data science techniques, you will build distributed, highly available systems to accelerate product delivery. This role demands a passion for pushing the boundaries of automation and efficiency through pioneering software and hardware technologies! Responsibilities: Develop new tools and applications that enable AM to automate existing processes and standardize on performance-based benchmarks Contribute to the design, implementation, and deployment of successful internet-scale systems and services in support of AM and associated systems Own software solutions through inception, design, delivery, and lifecycle support Produce quality user requirements and user documentation defining organizational and enterprise-level applications Adopt software DevOps technologies to tackle software infrastructure and automation problems Collaborate deeply as a developer embedded in a multi-functional team of engineers and customers Qualifications: BA/BS in computer science, engineering or related field; or equivalent practical experience Strong understanding of software engineering principles and the ability to translate domain expertise into applications Proficiency with Python or modern programming languages (ie. JS, C#, Java) Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (ie. React, Vue JS) Experience interacting with and developing APIs (REST, GraphQL), and building applications on them in a production environment Strong familiarity with SQL and database systems Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other cloud platforms and Terraform Experience with software deployment technologies and CI/CD A strong capability to work independently, self-start and manage, and collaborate deeply with a cross-functional team Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion 5 years or more of experience in as a full-time software developer Desired: Robust experience in a manufacturing and production environment Experience with machine learning platforms, tools and applications Expertise using software DevOps workflows and deploying tools in production Expertise with data migration and data transfer Understanding of ERP, MES, and other common manufacturing software Experience with PLC programming, Ignition, and common industrial communication protocols Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $148,014.00-$207,218.55 Other site
