Advanced Mechanical Analysis Engineer

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a mechanical analysis engineer for Undersea Mission Systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and analysis of critical undersea hardware.

Experience with ANSYS and MATLAB analysis tools, and ability to train others on these tools
Experience with Shock Grade B by analysis
Strong knowledge of material specifications and metallurgy, especially as they relate to submarine requirements
Knowledge of weld types (MIL-STD-22) and processes (TP-1688 and 278)
What sets you apart: Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools, especially Creo, to create mechanical models and drawings
Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects
Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals

While on-site, you will be a part of the McLeansville, NC team.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT:
This assignment is a US Government Contract which requires all applicants to be US Citizens.
