The Job:
A well-established agricultural engineering business is seeking an experienced Agricultural Engineer to join their workshop-based team in Broughton-in-Furness, Cumbria. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically skilled individual looking for a stable and varied workshop-focused role, with no extensive travel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on agricultural and livestock equipment
- Servicing and maintaining feeding systems, handling equipment, and general farm machinery
- Performing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs
- Supporting fabrication and modification work when needed
- Working to high standards of accuracy and safety while maintaining detailed service records
- Collaborating closely with fellow engineers and workshop colleagues

- Experience working on livestock-related equipment (feeding, handling, etc.) preferred
- Self-sufficient and comfortable working in a workshop environment
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) desirable
The Package:
- £35, – £40, annual salary DOE
- Workshop-based role – no long-distance travel
