Our client is a fast-growing YC-backed AI startup building real-time, voice-first AI agents for enterprise clients. Their product enables intelligent phone-based agents to handle complex workflows - from replacing credit cards to extending car rentals - all powered by large language models.

Role Overview
As an AI Engineer, you’ll own the full deployment lifecycle of real-world AI voice agents. You’ll scope requirements, configure custom agents, lead integrations, and partner closely with customers and internal teams to ship production-ready systems. This role blends product iteration, technical deployment, and customer-facing execution.

You’ll play a key role in expanding their customer base and product functionality, collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure custom voice agents for enterprise use cases

  • Scope technical requirements, iterate based on feedback and usage data

  • Integrate APIs and ensure production-readiness of deployed solutions

  • Act as post-launch owner for tuning, support, and iteration

  • Manage 1–2 enterprise projects at a time, often running several months

Non-Negotiables

  • Strong technical aptitude - systems thinking, integrations, APIs

  • Customer-facing experience with excellent communication skills

  • Proven ownership mindset - able to run projects end to end

  • Startup-ready - comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration, learning on the fly

Nice to Have

  • Background in AI, voice tech, or LLMs

  • Previous startup or founder experience

  • Experience with prompt engineering or no-code platforms

  • Consulting or solutions background with strong delivery ownership

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $120,000 - $180,000
Equity: $100K - $200K worth in early-stage equity

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA (Hybrid only considered for exceptional candidates)
