Selectek is partnering with a firm in Abilene, Texas to hire an Application, Engineer on a direct hire basis. Candidates will select components and size instrumentation/control items for a company that specializes in oil & gas piping projects. Expected Pay Range: $90,000-$110,000 annual salary Location: Abilene, TX Schedule: Monday-Friday, normal workday hours Job Requirements: - Minimum of two years of experience - Experience with P&IDs, piping schedules - Knowledge of applicable hardware including valves, flanges, fittings and instruments Job Duties: - Estimate costs for incoming quotes regarding pressure vessels, piping, skids, and controls/instruments - Provide complete mechanical design for vessels and piping systems - Select components based P&IDs and customer spec sheets - Conduct Material take offs - Develop valve and instrument lists based off of the PFD and P&ID In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
