Contract Duration: 6+ Months, with extensions and possible conversions Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education. Spark, Python, Scala and Advanced database skills Looking for a head down developer with the following skill set: Big Data Hadoop, Hive, Java, Python and Spark experience Data analysis expertise Advanced SQL, Unix Shell scripting and Autosys Agile, JIRA Desired Skills & Experience Investment Banking experience What You Will Be Doing Will work on a data acquisition projects for standing up 2 new applications as well as doing a strategic implementation for the next few years for a legacy application. Will build Big Data models using Spark, Scala, and Python. Will be doing analysis as well as writing code. Will be a primarily heads down engineer with production support as needed. Will participate in a daily stand-up call, Jiras will be assigned. Needs to be capable of speaking up in the calls and providing risk updates. #J-18808-Ljbffr
