Hazen & Sawyer is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Birmingham office with 0-4 years of experience. The position will include performing structural design and analysis of environmental structures such as low-rise industrial buildings, pump stations, process basins, treatment facilities, dams, and spillways.

Key Responsibilities may include:
Computer-aided design (AutoCAD, Revit drafting/modeling, STAAD)
Full structural design based on governing building codes and design standards
Performing construction management tasks such as shop drawings reviews, responding to RFIs, and field inspections
Writing technical reports and assist in the development of drawings and specifications for construction
Candidates must be effective communicators and successfully work in multi-discipline team environment
Required Qualifications:
0-4 years of experience
BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus preferred
Candidates must have or be in progress of obtaining EIT status via successful completion of the FE exam
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other software
Experience or coursework in reinforced concrete, steel, and reinforced masonry
Preferred Qualifications:
EIT certification/PE
Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Civil Engineering (with a Structural Concentration) or Structural Engineering
