About being our Assistant Project Manager - Transportation
As an Assistant Project Manager with our Transportation/Public Works team in Tucson, you will utilize your expertise to assist Project Managers in managing all aspects of transportation and public works projects while working in a team-oriented environment and interacting with clients.

Responsibility Highlights for our Assistant Project Manager - Transportation
Organizing and executing the technical quality and coordination of a broad range of project assignments requiring extensive knowledge of transportation and public works projects
Supervising the technical work of other engineers and designers
Assisting the PM with coordination of internal staff, subconsultants and agencies, adhering to project requirements
Training and mentoring team members
Assisting the PM in managing workflow, budget, scheduling, and cost estimating
Representing Psomas and clients to agencies and contractors
Assisting with business development efforts and pursuit planning
Minimum Qualifications to be our Assistant Project Manager - Transportation
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of Arizona (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
A minimum of 6+ years' civil engineering experience with transportation and public works projects
Expert technical knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
Technical knowledge with proven experience in preparing technical reports, designs, specification, and computations
Knowledge in computer software utilized in the transportation industry - MicroStation, InRoads, Civil3D and AutoCAD
Familiarity with local municipality design and procedures, regulatory compliance and agency coordination
Thorough understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and scope of services
