Opportunity Overview : Mechanical Engineer/Associate Engineer - 12-18 MONTH CONTRACT - FULL TIME
WECTEC Staffing/Westinghouse is looking for new or experienced Engineers with strong mechanical engineering skills/aptitude. This position is a 12–18-month contract with potential to convert to a permanent role & will be based at Waltz Mill in Madison, PA. What your day-to-day looks like: Work with the team of Engineers on a variety of technical/mechanical engineering projects
Work will include repairs and extensions of reactor internals and head packages (1 month of training is provided)
Physical manipulation of underwater objects with precision & skill
Working consistently with Reactor Component Upgrades
Involved in equipment design, qualifying equipment and qualifying procedures What we need to see from you: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline is required
Strong skills & knowledge in mechanical engineering/mechanical aptitude
2-3 years of relevant or similar work experience is preferred/new engineering graduates will also be considered
Knowledge or familiarity with Reactor Component Upgrades
High level of attention to detail
Open, candid and honest approach in day-to-day work
Willingness & ability to promptly report issues
