Description
This is a high visibility, cross-functional and dynamic role that involves a deep understanding of multiple platforms with components maintained by several teams, as well as elements of what everyone on the teams are working on. It will combine a passion for Audio, strong dedication to product quality and a growing understanding of audio architectures to help focus resources on the right things. Excellent communication and teamwork are a requirement, as you will be asked to work closely with team members and other engineering teams.Areas of Responsibility: Development, deployment and maintenance of automated tests against existing and inflight hardware. Analysis of test results and delivering of clear and actionable bug report. Development of high quality audio test and automation frameworks. Mentoring and evangelizing best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong coding skills in C/C++, Objective C/Swift and working knowledge of Python
5+ years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining automated regression tests
5+ years of experience developing tools and frameworks using Objective C/Swift
Experience contributing to shared codebases using test-driven development, code reviews, and other best practices
Strong problem solving and debugging skills along with a diligent mindset
Familiarity with real-time audio handling (sample rates, buffering, PCM, drivers, etc.)
A foundational understanding of electronics, audio technology, and studio recording
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the iOS SDK and Core Audio Development
BS or MS in CS, EE, or related, with an interest in digital audio
Experience with and a passion for audio / music applications
Previous manual QA experience
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,800 and $245,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
