Duration: 09/01/2025 – 08/31/2026 (with possible extension)
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT
Salary: $100,000-$120,000
Local Candidates Only: Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Austin, TX
Job Description:
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer Automated 3 to support its IT initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated and manual test cases, ensuring software quality, and supporting testing activities across development, UAT, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement automated test scripts using WebdriverIO or similar tools.
- Execute and maintain manual and automated test cases.
- Track and report test execution results.
- Schedule and manage automated test runs and reporting.
- Log and manage defects using Jira.
- Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Provide on-call support as needed.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Must be local to the Austin area (within 50 miles).
- Must be available for in-person interviews.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must sign HHSC Acceptable Use and Integrity Agreements.
- Must complete cybersecurity training (HHS Form 3834).
- Must comply with the HHS Data Use Agreement.
