As a Battery Systems Simulation Engineer , you will work on cutting-edge battery and robotic systems for mass production. Our ideal candidate loves solving challenging problems for real-world applications and will collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, thermal, and test engineers to design and develop the next generation of battery modules and charging/swapping systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Optimize battery system design through multiphysics simulations
Perform thermal modeling of battery packs, modules, and cells (Cooling/Heating, Air/Liquid/PCM)
Conduct numerical modeling of battery packs, modules, and cells (ECM, ROM, MSMD)
Guide experimental validation and testing based on simulation results
Define battery system performance specifications through simulations
Perform thermal management simulation and analysis of charging stations and racks
Automate simulation processes and document procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 3 years industrial experience with multiphysics simulations
Strong background in mechanical, thermal, and electrical systems
Master's degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, physics, chemistry, or electrical engineering; PhD preferred
Experience with 3D simulation software such as Ansys (Mechanical, CFD, LS-Dyna, EM), Star-CCM+, COMSOL Multiphysics, etc.
BONUS SKILLS:
Experience running simulations on HPC clusters
Experience with complex system simulations involving hundreds of parts
Proficiency in Python and C programming
Experience modeling battery packs and modules
Process automation skills
