Job Summary: We are seeking an Automation Engineer with strong software development skills to design, develop, and implement scalable automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and streamline business processes.If you have a passion for Development and enhancing automation delivery metrics, you will have a deep understanding of automation frameworks, machine learning models, and data-driven decision-making processes, with a strong self-starter mindset to own and deliver on various projects in a timely manner.In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, integrate AI technologies into existing systems, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. You will also be responsible for monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, Data center development and transformation, to continuously optimize workflows using AI-driven insights. Key Responsibilities: •Design and develop automated solutions for scheduled processes and workflows centered around AI agents•Build and maintain AI focused backend systems with focus on reliability and scalability•Map existing manual processes and identify automation opportunities•Implement AI agent integrations to handle routine tasks and decision-making•Collaborate on light project management activities including planning and tracking•Write clean, maintainable Python code and related technologies•Document automation workflows and maintain system architecture•Assist in penetration testing of applications•Design, build, and fine-tune detection rules, correlation searches, and analytics across SIEM tools to ensure accurate, high-fidelity threat identification.•Collaborate with SOC analysts and incident responders to validate detections, implement new use cases, and evolve the SIEM environment in line with emerging attack techniques and business requirements. Your Key Strengths: •2-5 years of software development experience with a focus on security•Strong Python skills with experience in automation frameworks•Genuine excitement about AI agents and process automation•Experience with task scheduling, workflow orchestration, or process automation•Understanding of backend development principles and API design•Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI tool integrations•Hands-on understanding of AI tools and their practical applications•Knowledge of information security principles and secure coding practices•Understanding of application security and infrastructure security considerations•Collaborative mindset with light project management capabilities•Problem-solving approach to identifying and eliminating manual bottlenecks$110,000 - $120,000 a yearCanada: At PointClickCare, base salary is one of the many components that make up our total rewards package. The Canada base salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000 + Fulltime Benefits.Our salary ranges are determined by job and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience including professional and lived experience, and/or work location.
