This role is crucial in driving process improvements, ensuring optimal plant performance, and supporting production teams to meet operational goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in continuously improving the batch polyester resin processes, leveraging their engineering expertise and problem-solving skills to enhance the safety, quality, and productivity of our plant.

Roles & Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Collect and analyze data to identify process trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement Lead initiatives to enhance production workflows, reduce waste, and improve yield Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is functioning at optimal performance levels Manage capital improvement projects, from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines and budgets are met Ensure all processes comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations Support the training of production staff on new equipment, processes, and safety protocols Assists with leadership of Process Safety Management (PSM) programs
Required Skills & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field 5-7+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and troubleshooting Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar process improvement certifications Proficient in various software, including MiniTab, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office programs.
