Civil Design Engineer – Commercial Land Development Location: Charlotte, NC Pay Rate: ~ $40–$50+/hour (Depending on experience, education, and engineering level) Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire or CTH Work Environment: Onsite | Day Shift | Business Casual An established and growing architecture and engineering firm is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their Charlotte, NC team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge in commercial land development and the ability to manage projects independently from concept through construction. The ideal candidate will also be prepared to take on a mentorship role within the local office. Responsibilities:

Lead the design and coordination of commercial land development projects Execute full scope site design, including:

Site layout Grading and drainage Stormwater management Utility design Erosion and sedimentation control

Coordinate with internal teams and clients throughout all project phases Mentor junior staff and support the development of team capabilities in the Charlotte office Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering ~ 5+ years of hands-on experience in civil site design Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong understanding of applicable codes and stormwater management practices Ability to run projects with minimal oversight

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license Experience in design-build or commercial development environments Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience
