Job Description
We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Professional Engineer for our Fort Wayne Office. This is an excellent career opportunity for a multi-talented and creative engineer interested in solving complex water/wastewater engineering challenges.
Responsibilities
Engage in all phases of municipal water/wastewater treatment process design including conceptual and feasibility evaluations.
Prepare design reports and develop contract documents.
Provide bidding assistance and support construction engineering services.
Work on projects involving the design of water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems for municipal clients across Indiana.
Participate in some stormwater engineering and transportation engineering work.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline; a Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.
Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Indiana or ability to obtain reciprocity.
Experience in water/wastewater engineering treatment process/plant design, including drinking water and wastewater.
Hydraulic engineering experience with planning and design of pump stations, collection systems, and distribution systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in team environments.
Ability to serve as a mentor to junior team members.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working for a civil consulting firm.
Experience with treatment plant modeling software such as GPS-X and Visual Hydraulics.
Familiarity with Civil 3D.

Work Environment
The office environment is laid back but can be deadline intensive at times. There is a family feel with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Dress code is business casual. Standard working hours are flexible, with options to start as early as 7 AM or as late as 9 AM. There is potential for a flexible work schedule with longer hours from Monday to Thursday and shorter hours on Friday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
