TITLE: CloudData Engineer - Azure
LOCATION:  Hybrid in Tigard, OR PAY:  Dependent on relevant experience and targeting around $65-75/hr W-2, give or take, with competitive benefits ENGAGEMENT TYPE:  Contract to hire with conversion considered within 12 months, most likely between the 6 and 8 month mark or earlier WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING You will plan and help migrate on-prem SQL environments to Azure. With this, you will also: Create Heterogeneous replication strategies using native SQL Server replication, ETL, and cloud tools Develop custom code, reports, and other data related tasks Create stored procedures, triggers and user defined functions and simple to complex DTS/SSIS packages in support of our data strategy goals and dev teams (data development/engineering work) Create Entity Relationship Diagrams for developers and management staff Import & export data to and from SQL server using ETL tools as well as native SQL and flat files (Excel) Performance tune databases in development, test & production environments Participate in the resolution of complex design and implementation issues across projects WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR 5+ years relevant experience that includes data engineering in Azure Experience being part of an on-prem migration to Azure would be really helpful but not required Ability to administer SQL Servers within Azure and managing Azure data factory Familiarity with ML and AI concepts would be helpful Professional experience in an Agile environment would make you successful in this role Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills with comfort engaging with business stakeholders on the regular Authorization to work in the US is a precondition of employment - we do not sponsor work visas.
