The Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of the company's cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure the Microsoft Azure environment is secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
Your Specific Duties Will Include: Designing, implementing, and supporting Azure-based infrastructure solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS components. Automating infrastructure provisioning using tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform. Managing and monitoring Azure resources with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Implementing and maintaining security best practices, including RBAC, NSGs, and Azure Policy. Supporting hybrid cloud environments and integrating on-premises systems with Azure services. Collaborating with DevOps teams to integrate Azure services into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Optimizing Azure resource usage and controlling costs through Azure Cost Management and budgeting tools. Maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation of cloud architectures, configurations, and operational procedures. Staying current with Azure innovations and recommending enhancements to existing cloud strategies. Specific Qualifications for the Position Include: Essentials: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. Hands-on experience with core Azure services (e.g., Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Entra ID Hybrid). Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python. Experience with IaC tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform. Preferred: Microsoft certifications such as: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
Experience with Azure Application Gateway, Firewall, Load Balancing, AKS, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps. Familiarity with hybrid cloud tools like Azure Arc and Azure Stack. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools in Azure. Pay Rate Range: $ 96.61 per hour
