Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Composites Engineer job in Meriden, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving composite manufacturing processes and tooling for aerospace products. You will provide engineering support to production, design composite tooling, maintain accurate process documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Composites Engineer Job responsibilities:

Design and maintain tooling and processes for composite and non-metallic parts (e.g. silicone rubber, urethane, engineered plastics)

Maintain up-to-date operation sheets, BOMs, and process documentation for manufacturing

Provide technical support to the production floor, addressing quality and manufacturing issues promptly

Collaborate with tool room and engineering teams for tooling development and rework

Support quoting efforts for complex processes and tooling in coordination with estimating

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent; or 8–10 years of related experience in composite manufacturing

Experience with SolidWorks strongly preferred

Background in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field preferred

Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and root cause analysis

Ability to communicate effectively across departments and lead technical improvements
