Qualifications
Key Accountabilities
Drive continuous improvement throughout the factory by: Masterfully leading projects from concept to completion. Educate facility members on the proper use of lean tools and techniques to drive a culture of constructive discontent. Become a qualified facilitator to ensure accurate use and training of the lean tools.
Identify and leverage best practices from other MasterBrand facilities as well as other inventive organizations.
Open, effective, and respectful communication with all team members which builds a culture of trust and shared responsibility. Visual project tracker developed that can be used for all levels of the organization.
Eliminating waste from the operations and administrative processes to delight internal and external customers. Utilize lean tools and techniques to eliminate waste from all processes.
Cultivate and support an environment in which all members participate in improvements related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Foster an atmosphere where improvements are made daily with the use of data collection and pareto analysis. Coach members through the Daily Management process.
Actively engaging with production and support departments to achieve peak performance and strategic goals. Focus on engineered solutions to correct pareto top contributors.
Continuously maintain a bold 6-month vision of next steps, projects, and return on investment.
Nurture an environment where all members act in the best interest of their fellow members and the company.
Plan and organize large project design, justification, and implementation management.
Ongoing communication with Operations team on current state.
Engage and prioritize through influence without authority with the support teams.
Key Competencies
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Highly developed problem solving, analytical, and project management skills
Ability to deliver training to large groups
Experience with change management principles and demonstrated ability to drive and manage the change process
Demonstrated facilitation and coaching skills
Demonstrated capability to learn complex business processes
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks
Ability to set-up, track, and document results as required
Ability to drive cultural change and influence at all levels of the organization
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
2+ years of experience in a continuous improvement, process engineering, or operations role.
Working knowledge of Lean, and root cause analysis tools (DMAIC, PDCA, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
Project management experience or certification.
Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., Minitab) or Power BI.
