CES/AWS is looking for a Controls Engineer.

Location: Toledo, OH

Full-Time/temp to hire position

Pay range: $65–$70 per hour, depending on experience

We’re hiring a Controls Engineer to join our client’s team in Toledo, OH. In this role, you’ll work with automation and manufacturing systems to keep production running smoothly. You’ll troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and help maintain top-quality equipment.

What You’ll Do: Review and debug PLC logic to ensure proper operation

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems

Work with vendors on equipment design, build, and installation

Approve electrical and mechanical drawings, BOMs, and specs

Help design efficient plant layouts and material flow

Develop and update Preventive Maintenance plans

Create process documents: PFMEAs, control plans, instructions

Support quality checks and inspection criteria

Lead or support continuous improvement projects

Maintain a clean and safe work area What We’re Looking For:

Experience: 3–5 years in a controls engineering role

Strong troubleshooting of both electrical and mechanical systems

Experience with RSLogix 5000 and RSLinx (required)

Familiar with safety devices (e.g., light curtains, e-stops, safety mats)

Preferred: Experience with torque systems, pneumatic tools, barcodes/RFID Skills: Good with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)

Comfortable using AutoCAD and similar tools

Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills

Ability to support multiple shifts and occasional weekends Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

OR Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience CESGHI1
