Position: Engineer - Electrical Controls
Primary Purpose: Design controls systems for machines and mechanisms based on customer orders, special requests, industry trends, advancing technology and current standards of excellence. Make changes to existing designs and processes to improve quality and reduce costs.
Responsibilities: Quantifiable metrics to which a person is held accountable Create controls design concepts, assemblies, bills of materials, and user interfaces as directed, or as required to meet project specifications. Perform machine commissioning as directed, or as required to meet project specifications. Follow the design process for project execution including coordinating validation testing, documentation, collaboration and follow up with personnel associated with assigned projects. Assist Sales with reviewing customer specifications, conducting analysis, and assessing feasibility, risks and timeframes for special requests and customizations. Able to observe and develop workable solutions in a variety of situations and perform root cause analysis. Coach and mentor other, less-experienced engineers. Skills: Essential qualifications and functions gained through training and experience 4-year degree in electrical engineering or a related degree. Previous engineering experience is strongly preferred. Preferred experience with the use of EPlan (or equivalent), and able to create technical CAD layouts. Demonstrated effectiveness in field service and working with customers. High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible. Documentation of a drug screen must be provided prior to starting this position.
