Job Title: Manufacturing Controls Engineer
Job Description
The Manufacturing Controls Engineer plays a critical role in developing, testing, and implementing modern manufacturing equipment and processes into existing factories. This role focuses on ensuring product specifications and quality standards are met while leveraging the latest technologies to drive improvements in manufacturing concepts. The engineer will collaborate with the manufacturing team to launch new or revised products using advanced manufacturing methods, prioritizing cost reduction, quality improvement, problem resolution, project management, and employee training.
Responsibilities
Design and develop control systems and software to meet operational needs and project specifications.
Conduct system analysis to evaluate functionality and identify areas for improvement.
Program and configure PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other control interfaces to optimize performance.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure systems integration and operability.
Test and troubleshoot control components to ensure robustness and safety of the system.
Maintain and upgrade existing control systems to enhance efficiency and longevity.
Provide support and training to engineers and users on operating newly implemented or modified systems.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain documentation of procedures and configurations.
Perform regular maintenance checks on control systems and affiliated machinery.
Design algorithms and circuitry for new control systems.
Simulate control strategies to predict system behavior under different conditions.
Collaborate closely with quality assurance teams to align the final product with predetermined specifications.
Document processes and keep accurate records for future reference and regulatory compliance.
Essential Skills
5+ years experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Siemens and Fanuc - PLC/Robotic Integration.
Experience with Wiring/HMI.
Electrical Control Panel design/build.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of computer programming and software development related to automated control systems.
Proven experience in a control engineering role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Exceptional customer service skills.
Must have working command of the English language.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
