Cupertino, California, United States Software and Services Description As a Core Audio System Software engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and debugging audio system software for all of Apple’s platforms. The audio software stack on Apple devices features considerable complexity and a rich set of features, including routing audio through the system and integrating various hardware components. The role involves developing and enhancing software components that manage audio hardware and expose audio features throughout the system. Collaboration with hardware driver teams and Apple technologies such as Siri, AirPods, FaceTime, and AirPlay is essential. Minimum Qualifications Excellent software design and programming skills in C++ Strong understanding of object-oriented design, multi-threaded programming, and operating systems Experience with digital audio Preferred Qualifications BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields At least two years of experience in a professional software development environment, demonstrating collaboration skills Experience with Bluetooth accessories Experience with embedded audio in devices like smartphones (Samsung, Pixel), tablets, or Chromebooks Experience with core software features like telephony audio and Bluetooth audio The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
