Immediate job opening for a Cost Proposal Engineer. The candidate will work closely with the  Sales & Marketing departments and be responsible for developing cost data & technical proposals in pursuit of new business in the areas of Automated Equipment & Material Handling Systems. Successful candidate should have a strong manufacturing background with skills in engineering; including reading blueprints, familiarity with manufacturing processes, knowledge in electro-mechanical components, and the ability to use CAD software to generate conceptual designs and ideas. Additionally, candidate should possess good technical writing skills, and ability to utilize graphical content to generate professional quote letters and technical proposals.

Additional skills, and personal traits required for this position: Highly Organized & Skilled in Time Management Highly personable, with good customer presence and congeniality Knowledgeable in EXCEL Spreadsheets & Generating Cost Models Ability to use CAD system software (ie. AutoCAD/ Solidworks) for reviewing drawings, and generating concept designs & equipment layouts Ability to utilize Microsoft WORD, PowerPoint & CAD Graphics for generating professional proposal content & technical presentations. Knowledgeable in Electro-mechanical components used in the Automation Industry Ability to work closely with outside vendors to obtain technical information & pricing, required for properly selecting correct components for applications being quoted Ability to work under quote deadlines, and expedited requests from customers Willing to participate in onsite customer quote line-ups & plant visits. Support the Sales Department in pursuit of New Business & Product Development Perform Industry research to identify new components & technologies to provide the best solutions for the equipment designs and application requirements
