The Grand Traverse County Road Commission (GTCRC) is seeking a Highway Engineer to play a key role in designing, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure that keeps our community moving. GTCRC is a progressive and professional organization that utilizes innovation and technology to obtain data and make decisions about road infrastructure. The County Road Commission's Highway Engineer directs and coordinates the Engineering Team at GTCRC, which includes a project engineer, surveyor, engineering technicians, and the permits department. This position reports directly to the Manager of the Road Commission and works closely with the GIS coordinator. Who we are looking for: We are seeking someone to collaborate with multiple departments within the organization. The ideal candidate will be motivated by managing multiple projects, solving problems with their team and outside contractors, and creating safe and efficient road designs and plans.
