Required Experience: 5+ years’ experience in Data Governance, data catalog, and data stewardship Deep understanding of data governance capabilities including data catalog, data dictionary, business lineage, technical lineage and stewardship workflows Hands-on experience with configuration and maintenance of catalog tool . Alation (MUST HAVE) Hands-on experience with programming languages such as SQL, HTML, Java, Python and others Hands-on experience with on-boarding metadata from various sources including SQL Server, Oracle, Azure cloud and others Understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure (preferable), google, AWS and snowflake Understanding of ETL technologies such as Mulesoft, ADF, talend, SSIS Familiar with data quality practices and its integration with data catalog Comfortable working independently and with other teams/vendors to resolve issues Good communication and writing skills Roles & Responsibilities: Responsible for day-today configuration and maintenance of data catalog platform Work closely with project teams to help with delivering catalog use cases which include design, configuration and deployment. Validate lineage diagrams and modify/change as required. Responsible for integrating with new data sources for metadata acquisition. Develop customizations as required for use cases which may include API integrations, custom dashboards and workflows Working with Clients’ teams and vendor to resolve technical issues in the platform.
