Data Engineering - Core Data Platform - Software Engineer - Vice President - Dallas location_on Dallas, Texas, United States YOUR IMPACT As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the Alloy Studio platform by providing new functionalities based on user requests and new use cases, or enhancing existing features. You will have the opportunity to get involved in various areas depending on your interests, including making Alloy Studio intuitive, improving user and developer experience, streamlining data modeling processes, connecting to new types of databases, enhancing the modeling language, or optimizing query execution times. HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL Design and develop modern data management tools to curate key data sets, models, and processes, while identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements. Promote the adoption of Cloud technology for data processing and warehousing. Collaborate with data consumers and producers to design appropriate data models that meet diverse needs.
Basic Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience in a team-focused environment (VP level). Bachelor's or Master's degree in a computational field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative disciplines. Strong object-oriented programming skills, experience with OO languages like Java. Interest or experience in functional programming languages. Experience applying domain-driven design to develop complex business applications. Deep understanding of data multidimensionality, curation, quality, traceability, security, performance, latency, and correctness. Knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases, including database design. Familiarity with business processes, data flows, and the models that generate or consume data. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with subject matter experts to extract critical business concepts. Independent thinker, eager to engage, challenge, and learn. Focus on commercial impact and results. Strong work ethic, ownership, and sense of urgency. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective collaboration across global teams and ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in the Financial Services industry. Experience with Pure/Alloy. Knowledge of open-source tools like AWS Lambda, Prometheus.
