What you ’ll do As a Data Integration Engineer, you will support data scientists directly embedded on discretionary investing teams. You will help them build data pipelines, integrate data from multiple sources, troubleshoot complicated integration issues, and productionize their data science workloads. Specifically, you will:
Interface directly with portfolio managers and data scientists on their teams
Help data scientists productionize their work using tools such as Linux compute resources (RHEL8), Apache Airflow, Terraform, and the AWS Cloud (S3, Lambda, EC2, ML Stack)
Help data scientists grow their technical toolkit from notebooks to software and services
Drive innovation in the big data space, utilizing Spark and Databricks
Help data scientists optimize pipelines and queries using Spark, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server
Help design software packages and processes with an emphasis on DevOps best practices
Solve integration issues between multiple data teams and technologies
Coordinate with technology and business teams to deliver exceptional results
Provide both individual coaching and group content to data scientists on our investing platform
Assist in professional development efforts
What’s required
We are looking for a technologist who has a broad knowledge base of the constantly evolving IT landscape, specifically with experience in Python, Linux, Apache Airflow, SQL, and AWS services. If you have a passion for helping your clients optimize their data with best-in-class technologies and processes, this might be the right role for you. Specifically, you should have:
3+ years of experience writing Python code that seamlessly explains technical concepts
3 years AWS experience
Ability to demonstrate AWS Cloud best practices to users with a broad range of technical backgrounds
2 years Linux/Unix/MacOS experience with ability to show the data science capabilities and efficiencies of these tools
Ability to collaborate and share knowledge of distributed compute engines such as Spark/Flink/Snowflake/Presto and a knowledge of where they fit into the data science workflow
3+ years of SQL experience with the ability to optimize basic queries against SQL Server or PostgreSQL
Exceptional communication skills and commitment to being a team player

The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
