Database Reliability Engineer - DBRE New York City, New York

Fort 500 company looking for a Database Reliability Engineer. This group works with large amounts of data used to drive revenue generating products.

The need is for a senior level engineer/architect to assess and implement DB standards, automation, best practices, etc.  This person is responsible for keeping data accessible and safe.  Responsible for the quality of orchestration and integration of tools needed to support daily operations by weaving together the existing infrastructure with cloud solutions and additional data infrastructures. You will: Remove toil through automation and standardization; Prevent and minimize failures and outages; Identify and correct failures that do occur and ensure remediation and a plan of action when they do. As an architect, you will gage the reliability of new designs and provide methods for analyzing reliability data.

You will provide Database solutions and should have a solid background with database administration. MySQL, Postgres, AWS, Aurora, RDS, Docker, MicroServices, and more.

Remote now, but will move to Hybrid model by year end.
