Responsibilities: A CAD Engineer on the Client Switchgear CAD Team is responsible for developing detailed D and D designs and drawings for low- and medium-voltage switchgear systems, supporting both standard and engineered-to-order (ETO) projects.
Their daily responsibilities include interpreting electrical and mechanical specifications, creating layout drawings, wiring schematics, and bill of materials (BOMs), and collaborating closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are accurate, compliant, and manufacturable.
They manage design revisions, maintain drawing standards, and ensure timely delivery of drawing packages that support production schedules and customer deadlines.

Client Switchgear’s broader mission of delivering reliable, scalable energy systems for critical applications.
Top three required technical skills: - Years exp - Electrical Controls Experience, hardware Design Engineering experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD electrical, Smart CAD or Solidworks Electrical or similar program. Theya re moving from AutoCad Electrical to EPLAN, so EPLAN experience would be a plus.
Profiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Specifcally with Sharepoint and Power BI.
Nice to Have: Great communication Skills, ability to communication on a working level through multiple disciplines. SELF STARTER.
Someone who takes initative and can demonstrate their ability to do so with examples.
Having Utility controls experience.
