DevOps Engineer Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient infrastructure for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines. Automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources and infrastructure using tools such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Develop and maintain configuration management and orchestration systems (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes) to ensure consistent and repeatable deployment of applications. Implement and monitor logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and performance. Collaborate with development teams to optimize code releases, improve application performance, and implement efficient build and release processes. Continuously assess and enhance security measures, implementing best practices for data protection, access controls, and compliance. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations. Implement and ensure adherence to best practices and BCBSMS procedures regarding the applications. Assist Web Developers in diagnosing and resolving complex application problems. Lead the effort to diagnose and resolve communications problems including LAN, WAN, operating system and program product problems utilizing the vendor support structure or other Infrastructure Operations technicians as required. Identify and install corrective and preventive software maintenance. Utilize performance recording and reporting tools to monitor the resource utilization and the response time of the systems. Assist the Web Development team in identifying and resolving application related performance issues. Monitor the systems and logs to identify and resolve performance related issues. Recommend new monitoring tools as needed to provide visibility into performance issues. Work with all other technology teams on planning the detailed steps of each Business Resiliency test. Configure application systems for and actively participate in the semi-annual Business Resiliency tests. Research, plan, and implement changes to the technology landscape to provide recoverability improvements. Position requires: a Master's degree in Computer Science, IT/Technology, or a closely related IT field, or foreign equivalent with 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with Microsoft Windows Server and Redhat Linux operating systems, and supporting web related infrastructure and software using Python, Bash/Groovy, Jenkins CI/CD, Github, Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. Employer will also accept a bachelor's degree in the above fields and 5 years of the above experience. Position in Flowood, MS.
