DevOps Engineer (Remote - U.S. Based)

Seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to support a healthcare IT client. In this role, you will take ownership of the DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) stack with minimal guidance, while working closely with software development teams to support the deployment and operation of microservices in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable infrastructure on AWS (VPC, ECS, AppRunner, RDS, SQS, S3) Define and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform (preferred) or other IaC tools Implement CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment workflows Deploy and manage containerized microservices Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance and application uptime Ensure all infrastructure and deployment practices align with healthcare regulatory requirements Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration and deployment Maintain security best practices across environments Qualifications: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in production environments Expertise with AWS services, particularly: VPC, ECS, AppRunner RDS, SQS, S3

Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools Strong understanding of microservices architecture and containerized deployments Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, etc.) Ability to work independently while actively engaging with development teams Excellent communication and collaboration skills
