The Digital End User Services Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren's virtual and physical desktop environment, which includes Windows workstations, laptops and mobile devices. Responsibilities include defining hardware standards, engineering and securing the standard image platform, architecture and design of our Software Distribution infrastructure, product and system lifecycle management, administration of IT support tools/applications, and 2nd level operational support. The Digital End User Services Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren's virtual and physical desktop environment, which includes Windows workstations, laptops and mobile devices. Responsibilities include defining hardware standards, engineering and securing the standard image platform, architecture and design of our Software Distribution infrastructure, product and system lifecycle management, administration of IT support tools/applications, and 2nd level operational support.
This position primarily assists with the overall design, plan, delivery, and maintenance of technical projects and initiatives. The focus of this position is the overall delivery of technology solutions and improvement of the user experience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Create, test and develop standard workstation images. Test, evaluate, and package software and applications for workstation distribution. Administer the ConnectWise application suite, BitLocker, VMware View, Printer Services, AirWatch, and Intune. Research, diagnose and resolve production problems such as defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in systems functions, outputs, and content. Assist the Service Desk with Problem Management. Perform upgrades / maintenance activities as well as troubleshoot system issues by providing 2nd level support. Mentor and train other team members as required. Perform computer management and system administration activities. Serve as an escalation point for the IT Help Desk and Level 2 Desktop Support. Serve as the primary IT administrator for several support tools/applications.
Requirements
Education: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree.
Experience: Three to five years
Other
Familiar with Identity and Access Management practices. Highly skilled with Active Directory and Entra ID. Knowledge around reporting on and performing software deployments using ConnectWise or InTune. Must be able to troubleshoot the software package, client, and server components. Proficient in utilizing script languages, such as PowerShell, to deploy application packages to the endpoints. Knowledge and/or prior experience with standard software packaging and patch deployment methodologies. Tier 3 support experience with in-depth knowledge of desktop/application troubleshooting. Experience with VMware / VMware Center is a plus. Strong knowledge of the Windows Server and Desktop Operating System. Must be customer focused and ready to provide exceptional service to business stakeholders. Good technical judgment and troubleshooting skills. Present a professional image, personality, and demeanor. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Meticulous, organized, and able to prioritize tasks. Must have the ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to conduct research into technology issues and products as required.
Physical Demands And/or Work Environment
Regular travel may be required to remote offices in Madison, WI, Rockford, IL, and Waukesha, WI.
