The individual in this position will ensure the longer-term maintenance, reliability and safety of all site control and electrical equipment. Ensure site’s future electrical infrastructure goals are attained in terms of obsolescence and leveraging of new technology and best practices. Assist in the development and technical direction of the site E&I trade. Be involved in the management and coordination of electrical/control projects for the Spruance DTF Site. Leverage electrical safety learnings and best practices from industry, DuPont Teijin Films sites, and the parent companies. Participate in the site PSM program. The Control/Electrical Engineer reports to the Spruance Engineering / Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities for Maintenance Control/Electrical Engineer: Assist in day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of control and electrical equipment. Develop, maintain, and execute safety, improvement and obsolescence plans for control and electrical equipment. Keep abreast of changes in technology and champion improvements as identified. Leverage of technological improvements and best practices. Assists in the support and implementation of PSM program and critical safety interlocks. Gatekeeper for maintenance for the MOC process as applicable to electrical and control systems. Ensure sustainable electrical reliability programs are developed. Provides electrical representation for engineering and capital work. Provides engineering support prior to and during PMs. Assistance with procedures and troubleshooting, and documentation and training of successful techniques and best practices. Ensure documentation of electrical and control systems is kept in a correct and accessible state. Take remedial action to correct deficiencies. Education/Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Training and experience on safety and operation of industrial control and electrical equipment, VS drives, PLCs, DCS (Rockwell Automation and Honeywell). 3 + years demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial or manufacturing experience. Experience in maintenance and project management. Able to manage by influence – building persuasive arguments based on logic, data, and the objective merits of the situation.
