Modern Packaging is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer who employs analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in the design of comprehensive electrical controls systems for automated production lines in the packaging industry. The position reports to the Electrical Engineering Supervisor and is located on-site at our Deer Park, NY office.

- Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in the design of comprehensive electrical controls systems for automated production lines in the packaging industry.
- Responsible for aiding in the overall design of the system including control panels and field devices, schematics detailing, and programming PLC, HMI, and servos in accordance with industry and client guidelines.
- Operate computer-assisted design software to perform engineering tasks.

Base Salary Range: $105,000 - $120,000

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer or related.
- At least 2 years of experience with electrical design and/or application engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical design software & PLC hardware.
- Must be familiar with UL, NEMA and CE code.
- Have the ability to travel to customer locations up to 40%.
