Electrical Engineer | Clearfield, UT

Nexeo HR is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join ACS Manufacturing as a direct hire in Clearfield, Utah. ACS Manufacturing is a leading provider of industrial enclosures, power generation equipment, and electrical packaging solutions. This position offers the opportunity to design, develop, and oversee the integration of complex electrical systems for large-scale industrial applications. We’re looking for a self-motivated problem solver with strong expertise in electrical design, AutoCAD, and a solid understanding of NEC and NFPA standards who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities • Apply advanced knowledge of electrical design and drafting techniques, including schematic and diagram creation • Plan and design industrial electrical systems using customer-furnished data and job submittal packages • Perform panel loading calculations and balance load centers, panelboards, and switchboards • Accurately size wires, cables, conduits, and trays for project requirements • Create detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for electrical components • Provide technical direction to drafters and designers; collaborate with senior designers and department managers on complex projects • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, NEC, NFPA, and applicable codes • Review and interpret contract specifications and electrical drawing packages • Utilize AutoCAD Electrical (2015 or later) and/or Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD for detailed project design • Communicate effectively with shop and field personnel to support installations and commissioning • Support projects involving emergency power generation and switchgear installation with equipment from Caterpillar, Cummins, MTU, Schneider, and more • Perform additional engineering tasks as needed to meet company objectives

Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience • Expert-level knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical (2015 or newer; 2017 preferred) • Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD or similar software (Revit MEP a plus) • Experience in electrical equipment packaging including generators, switchgear, and UPS systems • Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocols • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to interpret and apply complex contract specifications and electrical drawing packages • Experience in multi-discipline engineering environments • Emergency power generation and switchgear packaging experience highly preferred • Experience with Accubid or similar estimating software a plus • Must pass a background check and drug screen

Pay $120,000 per year

Schedule Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
