Job Description
The Electrical Engineer will report directly into the R&D Team Lead and be responsible for: Design, develop, and troubleshoot electrical systems and control panels for custom thermoforming equipment and other production machinery. Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and Technicians to implement electrical components into new and existing systems. Maintain and improve PLC programs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) to optimize process reliability and performance. Support maintenance and operations teams in diagnosing and resolving electrical/electronic issues. Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable safety standards and codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E). Assist in capital projects and contribute to the development of automation strategies across the facility. The Successful Applicant Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline. 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Proficient in reading and creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI design, and industrial automation. Knowledge of motor controls, power distribution, sensors, and instrumentation. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
