This position will be performed full time, onsite in Saint Charles, MO with no hybrid or remote options. Position Description: Perform design and development of analog circuits, digital circuits, microcontrollers, equipment racks, circuit board assemblies, cable assemblies, and test equipment.
Generate design documentation using KiCad, Visio, and other legacy tools as required.
Develop specifications for, and perform selection of, components for use in electrical equipment.
Develop and test control software using Python.
Provide engineering support of laser system projects.
Provide engineering support of fielded products and engineering support to the electronics production group.
This role can be filled as an Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer. Basic Qualifications: Electrical Engineer: Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience; Masters of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 0 years of relevant experience. Principal Electrical Engineer: Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience; Masters of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 3 years of relevant experience; 1 year of relevant experience with a STEM PhD. 3-5 years of design experience in the areas of analog and digital electronics, microcontrollers, power electronics, and PWBs/CCAs.
Demonstrated proficiency with programming using Python.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to cross-functional team members.
Ability to work effectively while supporting multiple projects.
Possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a development team.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred experience in developing electronic controllers used with laser systems.
Preferred experience with KiCad for PWB/CCA design.
Preferred experience with Raspberry Pi computers and microcontrollers.
Preferred experience with schematic capture, MS Office, Visio.
Preferred experience with the Linux operating system.
Preferred experience with networking fundamentals including protocols, configuration, and addressing.
Salary Range: $81,300 - $121,900 Salary Range 2: $100,300 - $150,500 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
