Summary of Responsibilities The Electrical engineering position and functional duties are to support the Core operations through assistance in maintenance, preventative maintenance and continuous improvements to the assets. Additionally, the Electrical engineer will build capability in the maintenance department and operations with respect to technical aspects of the assets. The Electrical engineer shall assist and lead Capital improvement projects and represent Tufco on all Contract Manufacturing projects through Commercialization. Including, but not limited to Vendor site and Tufco site Validation, Contract Engineering Management, Scope and technical definition of processes relating to the field.
Essential Functions Assists in ensuring all process equipment is running and controlled to maximum efficiencies throughout the mill. Assist/lead in center-lining and control capabilities of assets. Provides assistance to maintenance in the E&I areas. Maintenance, design, and direction with the PLC systems and other Control/electrical distribution systems, trouble shooting and repairs. Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering to support Plant activities, including design, specification, production of drawings, capital project support and management. Build capabilities in the support and operations staffing. Ability to support and interact effectively in a “self-directed” Collegial Team environment. Self-directed, self-motivated to internalize the Tufco way of leadership Work safely within the Plant. Assist in project trial definition, set up, and evaluation. Resource definition and Management for various projects. Customer project definition and interaction. Understand and comply with all lockout/tagout procedures. Must work in a safe and ethical manner at all times. Qualifications: Education: (A minimum of a HS diploma or GED is strongly preferred) Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree WI registered Professional Engineer’s license helpful. Special Training: none Minimum 5 years experience in Tissue, Paper Mill or related industry in E&I support. Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to solve complex problems and trouble shoot typical converting/Process equipment, Control systems and power distribution systems. Strong Communication skills.
Licenses/Certifications: WI registered Professional Engineer’s license
