Job Description
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical designs for specialized equipment. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of equipment, business, and customer requirements that drive the design of technical solutions. The Electrical Engineer participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, equipment construction, and installation support. Collaboration with other engineering staff for programming and site startup support is essential. Responsibilities
Design and conduct research to evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications. Assist field engineers with the installation of designed systems and verify the proper build of these systems. Develop electrical products that conform to standards and customer requirements by researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials. Prepare technical drawings and specifications for electrical control panels. Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components. Ensure product quality by designing electrical testing methods, testing finished products, and verifying system capabilities to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational, safety, or environmental standards. Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Resolve required changes and support solutions to complete the designed equipment during installation. Maintain the product database by writing computer programs. Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 5+ years of electrical engineering experience within a material handling or manufacturing/distribution environment. Experience with electrical engineering of equipment/machines. Proficiency in AutoCAD with an understanding of drawings and symbols. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with mobile robots. Knowledge of real-time supply chain solutions. Understanding of e-commerce systems. Skills in warehouse optimization. Work Environment
The position is based in Cincinnati, OH, working out of the office five days a week. The role involves being at the forefront of incorporating new technologies into projects within the automation space. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $52.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
