Qualifications: Familiar with communication structures using managed switches and fiber optic ring configurations Ability to interface with customers on various subjects including troubleshooting support and progress updates Experience with various PLC hardware using ladder logic, function block and structured text based programming Experience with various HMI hardware developing custom multi screen applications Experience with various communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and CANbus Familiar with low and medium voltage switchgear including design principles and associated hardware Understanding obsolescence replacement and design Able to read and design to various requirement specs including: MIL, ABS, ANSI, and IEEE Familiar with equipment qualification to MIL and IEX standards including shock, vibration, and EMI qualification Strong technical writing skills to support the proposal team with development of technical proposals for new contracts Proficiency with Microsoft programs, AutoCAD, and Solidworks a plus Field service at times required for troubleshooting and project support or installation – travel times vary – about three times per year PE designation a plus Recruiting Solution is seeking an experienced electrical engineer for a company in the Sumter, SC area.
