Job Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC
Key Responsibilities: Design & Development: Lead the design and development of electrical systems for textile machinery. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting electrical issues in textile machinery, ensuring minimal downtime. Implement preventative maintenance procedures. System Integration: Coordinate and oversee the integration of electrical control systems (PLC, HMI, VFD) into new or existing textile machinery and ensure the optimization of electrical performance. Automation & Control Systems: Work with PLC programming and other automation systems, enhancing machinery operations and functionality for improved productivity and efficiency. Testing & Validation: Conduct testing and validation of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal specifications. Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all electrical designs, schematics, control systems, and electrical maintenance procedures. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with production, design, and quality teams to deliver projects on time and meet customer requirements.
Requirements: Experience: Experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the industrial machinery sector. Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and automation. Experience with PLC programming, HMI, and VFDs. Siemens TIA, Allen Bradley, Ignition, Wonderware Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN). Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industrial machinery. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Travel required 60%: travel will be within NC, SC, VA, and TN and will be primarily during the work week.
