Electrical Engineer My client is a well regarded MEP Consulting Engineering firm that is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer with design of power distribution and lighting systems.
The main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications plans including all associated circuitry, details, one-line diagrams, and specifications. Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash & fault current, lighting, and any other calculations required to support electrical design. Prepare electrical construction documents including drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings (in retail, office, multifamily residential, healthcare, and institutional market sectors). Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all building systems. Ensure design is consistent with the overall vision, and design schedules are maintained; work closely with the client and other design team members, including owners, architects, contractors, and members of other disciplines. Participate in the selection and specification of appropriate equipment for use in building systems. Incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings. Report writing and specification preparation. Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects. Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them.
