KE Y RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and Manage Electrical and Automation capital investment improvement projects for multiple Vallourec sites in Youngstown.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to the Maintenance Manager concerning all facets of Equipment Electrical and Automation systems to include the following examples: Wonderware upgrades
Traceability related projects
Energy conservation projects
Interface with IT to assist from Plant level any updates or upgrades
PLC upgrades
HMI upgrades
Ethernet conversions
Writing of technical procedures
Develop detailed scope of work
Project quoting
Safety initiatives as related to electrical and automation
Manage maintenance on the plant emergency generators to ensure reliable source of electricity for critical circuits.
Develop and maintain technical documents and prints, including drawing changes and updates. Ensure all documents and prints are easily available for all plant personnel. Work with vendors to assure complete updated drawing management.
Accountable for communicating with Maintenance Manager, Maintenance General Supervisor and Area Supervisors to solve and prevent various issues for the mill.
Communicates the Electrical and Automation best practices to ensure obsolete or outdated hardware is identified and updated.
Work closely with Reliability Based Maintenance Team to support industry 4.0 advancements.
EXPER I ENCE , SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
Strong communication skills
Knowledge and skills in AutoCAD, MS EXCEL, MS Project and MS Office Suite.
Capable of working independently in a self-directed environment.
Travel 10 % of the time to visit potential suppliers, factory acceptance tests.
Able to work flexible hours and be available for consultation as needed.
Knowledge of National Electric Code, OSHA regulations and IEEE standards.
EDU C A T IO N , TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
4-year bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
5-10 years project management experience preferred.
Technical training on Allen Bradley and ABB PLC's, drives, and breakers.
5-10 years mill related experience preferred.
Training in project management.
Knowledge of low and Medium voltage equipment.
Excellent computer skills.
National Electrical Code Training.
