Role Summary
We are seeking five experienced Electrical Studies Engineers to join our team supporting a broad range of electrical studies across power delivery systems. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about power system analysis, protective relaying, and client-driven engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute electrical studies and protective relay settings projects.
Analyze systems such as generation facilities, substations, and transmission/distribution networks.
Maintain and develop strong client relationships through technical excellence and proactive communication.
Mentor junior engineers and support business development efforts (e.g., proposals).
Clearly communicate technical concepts to various stakeholders.
Technical Focus Areas
You will contribute in one or more of the following areas:
1. Design Studies
Substation grounding
EMF analysis
Insulation coordination
Transient simulation
Power quality
Motor starting
AC interference
Tools: CDEGS, WinIGS, ATP-EMTP, PSCAD
2. Protective Relaying
Short circuit and coordination studies
Relay settings
SCADA integration
NERC compliance
Arc flash analysis
Tools: SEL AcSELerator, GE Enervista, ASPEN OneLiner, CAPE, SKM-PTW, ETAP, RSCAD/RTDS
3. Power System Planning
Load flow and contingency analysis
Interconnection studies
Voltage stability
Dynamic performance analysis
NERC compliance
Tools: PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, Python
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
Minimum 5 years of power industry experience (preferably 10+)
Strong proficiency in electrical studies, protective relaying, and related software tools
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (P.E. or P.Eng.) License
Advanced coursework in protective relaying, power system transients, or electromagnetics
Experience in customer-facing engineering consulting
Proficiency in multiple study disciplines and tools
Skills & Certifications (Bold = Required)

Ideal Candidate Profile
5+ years of experience in the U.S. with an engineering consulting firm supporting the power utility industry
Holds a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Hands-on experience with key software tools for electrical studies and protective relaying
Strong communicator with leadership potential
