What You’ve Accomplished Completion of a BS in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Computer Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline

At least 2 years of directly related experience

Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, email, presentations, customer deliverables).

Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships.

Works collaboratively within a team environment.

Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.

Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.

Advanced level of Microsoft Office and business unit specific software tools (ex. CAD, FEA, CFD, etc.) and computer programming skills

As an Electrical/Controls Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Stearns Roger Services, Outage Services Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include: Participate in control systems and electrical systems design, for projects ranging from small to large.

Participate in all aspects of the product life cycle

Draft or review control & electrical system design documents, other technical documents and drawings to support products

Perform control system and electrical assembly, perform troubleshooting and testing on implemented designs This position requires up to 25% travel. The range of base salary for the position is between $75,000 - $97,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits.
